Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a Greek-American writer, syndicated columnist and a businesswoman. She's written 15 books, and she is co-founder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a writer TV personality, philanthropist, and TV host and also the proprietor and editor of The Huffington Post. Born in Greece Arianna Huffington immigrated to England together with her family around age 16. In Cambridge University she earned a MA Degree in Economics. She was the first student non-UK to be elected president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. Following the graduation ceremony, she became a prominent right-wing syndicated reporter. In the years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present political scene. She was able to get many prominent contributors to share their opinions on culture and politics. Arianna gained fame after she decided to become an Independent candidate for the California Recall Election to replace the Governor Davis. Alongside this she was the leader of the Detroit Project for fuel-efficient cars. Forbes identified her as the top woman in media in 2009. Her ranking was in the 12th spot on Forbes' ranking. The Guardian also included her to the top 100 list of media outlets in the year 2009. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her head of its media division and also included several the other AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. Elli was the son of Konstantinos the journalist and management consultant. The way she lived her life was determined by her closeness to her mother as well as her relationship with her father, despite her being very close to the latter. As a child she demonstrated leadership skills that she still is known for. When she was 16years old, she emigrated from the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined the college debating society Cambridge Union where she became the third foreign, and first female president. She graduated in 1972 with a Master's Degree in Economics.
