In the end, she won the title and smooching the winner, she defeated all competitors. Because of her victory she was able to take part in the Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. The tournament was also hers on Saturday, 22 June 1985. Mohr then went on in September 1985 to represent Georgia at Miss America 1986, a pageant staged at Atlantic City, New Jersey. Mohr was, however the top 10 finalist for the title of Miss America.
